The Seymour Duncan Andromeda Dynamic Digital Delay pedal.

Summary

Andromeda is a fully programmable digital delay, combining classic sounds with unique dynamic control for an inspiring musical experience.

Description

The Andromeda™ Dynamic Delay is a new approach to the traditional digital delay – as much a performance tool as it is a sound effect. Andromeda features warm, hypnotic repeats with an unparalleled level of control and musical, dynamic interaction. The combination of versatility and ease of use make it an indispensable tool for the creative guitarist.

Whether you prefer the sound of lush analog delays, vibey tape echoes, pristine digital repeats or some unique blend of the three, Andromeda has you covered with eight delay types including Normal, Ping Pong, Reverse and Reverse Pong. Once you select your delay type, you can further modify it with the Tone knob (to brighten or darken the repeats), the Saturation control (to add some of the grit and grind that the classic tape machines provided) and the Modulation knob (for gorgeous chorus or vibrato on the echoed signal). This provides a tremendous amount of tonal options—especially when you add functions like Tap Tempo (with four rhythmic subdivisions) and a selectable Trails feature, which allows the echoes to decay naturally when Andromeda is bypassed. But that’s just the beginning…

What truly sets Andromeda apart is the exclusive Dynamic Expression™ feature that allows you to control how the pedal reacts, in real time with your picking attack. That means you can alter settings for Mix, Modulation or Saturation on the fly, just by how you play. For instance, by selecting Mix, you can set Andromeda for a subtle echo until you dig in, at which point your repeats will jump to the forefront. Choose Mod and you can have beautiful chorus in a quiet verse part that magically disappears when you launch into a loud solo, or vice versa. Select Saturation and you can overdrive the echoed signal simply by picking harder. Depending on how you set the various controls, picking hard or picking soft will produce infinite variations on the sounds, taking Andromeda from a stompbox to a living, breathing thing. It’s interactive, intuitive and—most importantly—inspiringly musical.

Despite the awesome power and flexibility of this pedal, Andromeda is remarkably easy to work with. Everything you need to create your delay sounds is at your fingertips on the front panel, so no scrolling through menus or navigating confusing multi-function controls. Twist a knob, change the sound—it’s that simple. Andromeda provides the tactile, immediate response that we associate with classic guitar gear in a deep, modern effect.

Because Andromeda is capable of so many great sounds, we made it fully programmable. When you create a unique delay patch, you can save it, quickly and easily, and recall it in an instant, either with the onboard buttons or via MIDI. And with 128 presets as well as MIDI In and Through, Andromeda can be not just the pulsating, beating heart of your rig, but the brain as well.

Need more? Andromeda features stereo ins and outs, making it compatible with a wide array of live and studio applications and facilitating huge, expansive stereo imaging, powered by a 24-bit/48kHz digital engine. Andromeda also comes with a micro-USB port so it can connect to our Updater/Librarian software. This will allow you to download future updates for Andromeda, save and name your favorite presets to your computer, trade patches with fellow users and more. Finally, the bright alpha-numeric readout on the front makes it easy to see what patch is loaded, whether on a dim stage or in bright sunlight.

Any delay can repeat what you play. The Andromeda Dynamic Delay can actually have a musical conversation with you, reacting to what you say and how you say it. The dynamic interaction that is possible with this pedal will forever change the way you view delay effects.

Like all of our pedals, the Andromeda Dynamic Delay is designed and assembled at our Santa Barbara, California factory by the same team responsible for our legendary pickups.

Something's changed at Florsheim
Size: 11.5 Wide, Color: Black
I have a pair of size 11W Florsheim Palermo loafers that have lasted over 8 years and are still soft and exceptionally comfortable. Ordered a pair of 11W Florsheim Milano on Amazon but they are too small and have a cheap plastic sole. So, ordered 11.5W Florsheim Berkley and they were way too big. Returned them and ordered 11W Berkley instead and they were also too big ... and the Berkley also has a rubber sole instead of the original leather shown in the product photos. Guess they just don't make them like they used to.

Beware of the Brown Crazy Horse version.
NOTE: This review is COLOR SPECIFIC and concerns the Brown Crazy Horse version of this shoe. I am a loyal Florsheim customer having purchased Florsheim Imperials in years past. They are a fine shoe. However, I have to admit complete frustration with the Florsheim Berkley Flex Penny Loafer in "Brown Crazy Horse." The photos in the listing show a shoe with gloss...a shine. The photos on the box show a shoe with shine. Don't believe the photos. "Brown Crazy Horse" is, at best a dull matte finished leather. If you want a classic penny loafer with the classic Florsheim look this is NOT the color to choose. When the shoes arrived and the shoes did not match the photo on the box, I ignorantly assumed it was merely a case of the wrong shoes in the box so I exchanged them for another pair, which was a big mistake. It is Florsheim's incorrect photo and box label that caused me the inconvenience of going through two pair and then having to return both. I would assume other colors are as pictured in their listings because I cannot imagine that every Florsheim Berkley Flex Penny Loafer is a dull matte finish. I'm sorry that I do not have photos of the dull finished shoes. You'll have to take my word for it. They are a matte finish at best.

Just right, great quality and value (in the price)
Size: 11.5 X-Wide, Color: Burgundy
Exactly what I'd expect from a Florsheim. I'm delighted. Folks, let me share one mistake I made on my way to a good fitting pair of shoes. I ordered some in my size (I have a big foot, especially in width). I ordered what I thought I needed and it came in wide enough, but too short (the short was the surprise), but we all are told: "Manufacturers vary in their sizes not only from each other but from shoe model to shoe model." I want you to know I believe in that when it applies to clothes, especially children's and womens fashions in my life's experiences, but NOT with shoes, especially main-brand-deluxe. I ordered the next half-size up and now I have too large, how can that be? I found out when I pulled the paper stuffing out, in particular the LAST glob that extends from the middle to the toe, that it WASN'T the last glob, there was indeed a rather small glob still way down in the toe, almost pointless for this minor bit of stuffing being separate from the other, but it was. I had already innocently troubled Amazon with returns of shoes that would have fit, so I'll keep the half-size too large as a life lesson. I ordered this pair in the size I believed I was all along and viola, a good fit. What changed? When that last toe piece of paper wadding that's hard to see and even harder with a big hand to reach, the shoe fit perfectly. That's a lot of trouble because of a small piece of paper that was hard to see, but that's why I write this review for you so that you can make sure all the paper is really out when you already think it is. Amazon has been good enough not to hold me accountable and in return I'll not only repeat buy, I tell you of my experience.

Great price great shoe
Size: 12, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Excellent shoe. Tried the Sebago penny loafer and the sizing was ridiculous. These J and M are sized perfectly. I’ve had them before and they wear like iron. Very comfortable right out of the box.
